The Palm Grove ecosystems situated in the southeastern region of Morocco are highly vulnerable to compromise, encountering significant challenges due insufficient precipitation and limited availability groundwater. objective this study is evaluate groundwater quality Tinejdad-Touroug aquifer for domestic irrigation purposes. Groundwater flows from southwest northeast mostly Quaternary conglomerate-lacustrine facies Rheris basin. results show that domination major ions following order: Cl − >HCO 3 >SO 4 2− >Na + >Ca 2+ >Mg >NO >K 2 >NH . Piper diagram showed predominance a single mixed chemical Cl-SO -Ca-Mg, as well presence exceptions some samples other variations. water index (WQI) assessments campaigns were examined demonstrate recorded percentages poor ranged 40% 90% while good varied 7.7% 54.5%. remaining reveal different classes with varying percentages. Most sites all had drinking parameters exceeded values established by World Health Organization (WHO) Moroccan standards. Nevertheless, Temperature, pH, TH, DO, Ca , SO K NH bacteriological within required limits. assessment based on electrical conductivity suggest increase salinity levels, an average 2744.75 µS/cm 2000, 3248.58 2007, 2957.84 2021. findings positive regarding during eight sampling campaigns, indicated PI KR indices. However, additional investigation SAR, Na%, MH indices revealed three acquired separate surveys not appropriate purposes, showing must be controlled until it can properly used. outcomes accentuate necessity consistent monitoring evaluation establish safe sustainable exploitation resources agricultural Elevated levels aquifers resulting natural mechanisms such increased rates evaporation geological factors may have contributed degradation quality.

The current study investigated the geochemical characterization and contamination of groundwater quality in Tarkwa, a mining community Ghana. Total dissolved solids, electrical conductivity, calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, total hardness, heavy metals, cyanide (CN) were all assessed 74 samples. Other parameters included pH, carbonate, bicarbonate, chloride, sulphate, nitrate, pH. Using method recommended by USEPA, health risk assessment was carried out. Among which exceeded their WHO threshold pH (4.9–7.7), Conductivity (150–1082 µS/Cm), Turbidity (1.4–139.5 NTU), Magnesium (1.9–395.5 mg/L), Nitrate (4.5 mg/L–760 phosphate (2.3–80 Sulphate (10–855.6 CN (1.6–16 As (0.001–0.015 Hg (0.001–0.005 Cd (ND-0.009 Mn (0.004–1.38 Ni (0.002–0.118 mg/L). also showed that Tarkwa is naturally hard, making Ca Mg ions main determining chemistry water. Similar to this, most significant factors affecting water rock dominance precipitation dominance. Due high levels CN, As, Cd, evaluation revealed prolonged intake from linked both carcinogenic noncarcinogenic risk. Children shown be more vulnerable risks than adults.

Outdoor recreation has grown rapidly in recent years, with an increasing preference for areas good ecological condition. Since lakes represent some of the most important wetlands, providing a wide variety ecosystem services, they have become very popular destination. The present study aimed to assess water quality largest artificial lake Hungary (Kisköre Reservoir—Lake Tisza), and role status tourism development. Monthly sampling from basins (Tiszavalk, Poroszló, Sarud Abádszalók basins) took place April–November 2021 2022. majority samples river section are classified as Ca2+-HCO3− type or mixed Ca2+-Na+-HCO3− type. According results, each basin is considered excellent good. Rapid warming shallow was detected during summer months, resulting different hydrochemical characteristics (pH, NH4-N, NO2-N, NO3-N, PO4-P, CODcr BOI5) compared section. Differences plant nutrient oxygen balance component groups been revealed hierarchical two-step cluster analysis well. results demonstrated that properties lake’s substantially influenced by filling spring River Tisza significant lowering (1.2 m) level autumn year, allowing drainage stagnant water, removal accumulated sediments oxidation organic matter. number tourists on Lake increased over last decade, confirming range services attractive impact waterfront activities ecotourism.
