The phenomenon known as urban heat islands (UHIs) is becoming more common and widespread, especially in large cities metropolises around the world. main cause of these temperature variations between city center suburbs replacement tracts natural land with artificial (built-up) surfaces that absorb solar radiate it back at night. UHIs have been subject numerous studies, most which were about defining characteristics, factors, indexes, etc., using remote sensing technologies or determining mitigating activities. This paper provides a comprehensive overview literature, well bibliometric analysis, to discover research trends related application decision support systems multi-criteria decision-making for UHI management, special emphasis on fuzzy theory. Data collection conducted Scopus bibliographic database. Throughout literature review, was found there not many studies analysis system applications regarding UHIs. theory also reviewed, resulting only few references. However, this topic current, an increase published papers, authors see opportunity improvement further research.

Urban high-temperature disasters have gradually emerged as a significant threat to human society. Therefore, it is crucial assess and identify areas at risk of such implement urban planning measures aimed mitigating their impact. Additionally, multitude studies demonstrated the cooling effect blue-green spaces (UGBS), which play pivotal role in environments. Incorporating UBGS layout into evaluation processes has substantial potential for disasters. This paper presents construction set assessment disaster using structure specifically main area Harbin, China. We employed GIS multi-source remote sensing imagery develop local climate zone (LCZ) maps applicable designated study area. The differentiated impact factors on was determined multi-scale geographical weighted regression model (MGWR). results showed following: (a) There an overall low level, with 19.61% high-risk concentrated within second ring road, forming spatial pattern characterized by “one line, one cluster”. (b) building category LCZs generally higher than that natural LCZs. architectural could be summarized low-density being smaller high-density LCZs, except LCZ 5. mean value 2 5 types highest. (c) Through indicator screening, AREA_MN, SHAPE_MN, PD, NP were found determinants influencing risk, effectiveness differentiation these exhibited notable disparities. (d) By comparing different types, we concluded mitigation may interfered height (BH); positively BH; PD SHAPE_MN negatively BH. research provided new perspective practical scientific basis risk-mitigation based UBGSs under classification.

Owing to rapid urbanization, the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei region in China faces considerable urban heat island (UHI) effects, which can be mitigated by blue-green space construction. In this study, we used multi-source remote sensing products and InVEST model’s cooling module analyze spatiotemporal changes effects from 1990 2020. The wavelet coherence theory was explore these changes, as well environmental factors that affect cooling. key findings indicate effect is closely related similar trends significant temporal differences indices were observed central areas, fringe, city center. addition, climatic such temperature precipitation substantially influenced cooling, with an average of 0.88. Seasonal variations notable, exhibiting best across all time–frequency scales (averaging 0.55). highlight critical role spaces for mitigating UHI provides scientific insights planning management.

In Egypt, El-Mansourah Conurbation (EMC) is the second largest urban complex after Cairo Conurbation. This study focuses on identifying seasonal trends in land surface temperature during daytime/nighttime both and rural areas (RA), as well corresponding heat island (UHI) intensity 2001 to 2021. A time series of Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (Terra MODIS) images was analyzed using statistical methods Mann-Kendall test (MKT) Theil-Sen estimator (TSE). The findings showed that diurnal cooling ranged from −0.66 −0.58 °C (p < .01) across all seasons. contrast, nocturnal UHI exhibited a warming trend seasons (except for spring) ranging 0.08 0.16 > .1). Calculations Temperature-Humidity Index decline population comfort over time, especially hot months, while there noticeable amelioration cool ones. To explore potential mitigation strategies, simulation capabilities ENVI-met were utilized. Based simple scenario, ambient Salah Salem Street (SST) decreased by more than 2 °C. One suggestion put forth research implement measures address adverse consequences naturally arise unavoidable dynamics areas.
