This investigation delves into the waterfront plant landscapes of traditional villages in Western Hunan, China, aiming to bolster sustainable ecological resource management, amplify culture, and ameliorate environmental standards. Furthermore, it endeavors furnish a theoretical scaffold for meticulous construction assessment these landscapes. study has illustrated botanical 32 hamlets within Xiangxi region, integrating prior research on regression model based Scenic Beauty Estimation (SBE) method. It established investigated fifteen landscape factors pivotal aesthetic valorization village waterfronts. The concocted beauty quality evaluation model, unearthing significant correlation (p < 0.01) across evaluations by students majoring architecture, expert architects, laypersons, thus underscoring consensus judgments. A noteworthy between value (Z-value) entropy weight was elucidated through equation EWM = −0.106 + 0.425ZSBE, showcasing quality’s variance among studied villages. formulated accentuates significance seasonal variation, scale affinity, rich hierarchical structure.

Bu çalışma, antik bahçe tasarımlarından modern doğa tabanlı çözümlere uzanan sürdürülebilirlik derslerini inceleyerek, Yeni Avrupa Bauhaus girişimi çerçevesinde nasıl uygulanabileceğini ele almaktadır. Amaç, geleneksel tasarım ilkelerinin yeşil altyapı ve çözümlerle birleştirilerek kentleşme süreçlerine katkı sağlamasını değerlendirmektir. Araştırma, Web of Science veri tabanında gerçekleştirilen bibliyometrik analizle literatürdeki eğilimleri araştırma boşluklarını ortaya koymaktadır. Bulgular, bahçelerin su yönetimi, biyolojik çeşitlilik estetik gibi ilkelerinin, Bauhaus’un vizyonuna sağlayabileceğini göstermektedir. İncelenen literatür, çevre bilimleri çalışmalarında disiplinler arası bir yaklaşımın hâkim olduğunu, kapsayıcılık ilkeleriyle bu çerçeveye yeni boyut kattığını koymuştur. bağlamda, şehirlerin çevresel sosyal zorluklarını aşmada katalizör olduğu değerlendirilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular, hedeflerine yönelik yaklaşımların geliştirilmesi için önemli yol haritası sunmaktadır.

Extreme rainfalls caused by climate change are a growing worldwide threat to the urban environment. Nature-based solutions (NBS) employ soil and vegetation manage treat stormwater while ensuring extensive ecosystem services. In last decades, these solutions, such as Rain Gardens, Green Roofs, Vegetated Swales, Constructed Wetlands, have been implemented under different names. This study is systematic overview of reviews focusing on 10 years sustainable management literature. First, general bibliometric topic analysis highlights trends core themes addressed reviews. Then, article delves into bioretention, analyzing water quantity quality regulation function design choices media vegetation. Including an internal storage zone using amendments biochar treatment residuals relevant, features target pollution hydrologic functioning. Vegetation, too, has prominent role. Nevertheless, only most recent address species’ selection, highlighting significant research gap.

The increasing challenges of urbanization and climate change have driven the need for innovative stormwater management solutions. Rain gardens, as a nature-based solution (NBS), emerged critical component in urban water management, particularly enhancing hydrological regulation, quality, ecosystem services. This bibliometric review examines application rain gardens environments, focusing on their roles pollutant removal, ecological enhancement. Data from 728 academic papers published between 2000 2023 were analyzed using Web Science (WoS) Core Collection, employing tools such “Bibliometrix” R package CiteSpace. analysis highlights global interest since 2015, with China United States leading research efforts. Key findings reveal that significantly reduce runoff, improve contribute to biodiversity. In addition, integration into public spaces offers landscape esthetics social benefits, quality life areas. However, remain optimizing design diverse climates long-term performance. study underscores further plant–soil interactions, removal mechanisms, broader contributions gardens. provides insights evolution garden identifies future directions advancing sustainable management.
