Camellia oleifera C. Abel is a woody oil crop with multiple purposes. This study aims to investigate the mutagenic effects of 60Co-γ radiation on seedlings and screen anthracnose-resistant mutants. Two varieties were investigated: ‘Xianglin 1’ (XL1) 210’ (XL210). Seeds irradiated 0 Gy, 30 50 80 Gy 60Co-γ, after one year planting, lines studied, disease-resistant mutants screened. Results showed that as intensity was increased, emergence percentage both XL210 XL1 significantly decreased. Radiation changed SOD POD activities in varieties. Furthermore, reduced anthracnose resistance However, enhanced disease while reducing it XL1. The did not affect either variety. Colletotrichum gloeosporioides infection tests conducted 94 mutant seedlings, resulting 8 highly resistant (A3, A8, A10, A19, A21, A32, A35, B17) 3 susceptible (A4, B15, B27) Differences led variations among different Additionally, expression levels CoSOD1, CoPOD, CoIDD4, CoWKRY78 varied delivers screening through breeding, providing material for development new serving resource further research breeding.
