This article presents the results of long-term monitoring land subsidence in Bielszowice area (Upper Silesian Coal Basin) using archival maps from late 19th and 20th centuries, as well contemporary LIDAR models 2012 2022. The research work conducted included an analysis caused by mining activities based on four terrain models: a historical model obtained digitizing Messtischblätter topographic maps, showing surface 1883, vectorizing Polish 1993, digital study shows that over period 139 years, subsided average 9.5 m, which translated into anthropogenic rate 68 mm/year volume 100.5 million m3. greatest occurred northern part area, where basins with depths exceeding 30 m (the maximum amounted to 36 m) emerged.
