Insomnia is common in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and affects mental health quality of life. The present study aimed to examine the efficacy MIND (Mediterranean-DASH Intervention for Neurodegenerative Delay) diet on anthropometric measurements, sleep quality, depression, anxiety, serum levels cortisol brain derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) diabetic women with insomnia. This randomized controlled trial (RCT) involved 44 insomnia, aged 30 65 years, who were randomly assigned be under low-calorie (n = 22) or a (LCD) as control group 12 weeks. above-mentioned variables assessed at beginning end intervention. Following weeks accompanied by significant decrease waist circumference improvement anxiety compared group. In addition, vs. LCD exhibited reduction increase BDNF. provides promising evidence effectiveness improving health, some related biochemical parameters Trial registration: IRCT20181111041611N8.
