Within the sustainable development (SD) paradigm, European Green Deal (EGD) sets dynamic energy transition goals for Union (EU). However, diverse dynamics among member states, exacerbated by events like COVID-19 pandemic and war in Ukraine, directly influence this progress. This paper aims to present course EU countries up against implementation of objectives EGD. conducts a thematic (scoping) literature review comparative analysis progress all countries, concentrating on Poland, which faces unique challenges, including sluggish pace effects Russian invasion Ukraine regard. Recommendations Poland include an intensified focus investments renewable sources (RES) low-carbon installations. The results demonstrate that collective success SD necessitates each fulfilling national climate goals, emphasising need unified commitment navigate complexities build future.
