Evaluating the Impact of Weighting Methods on the Stability of Scores for Alternatives in Multi-Criteria Decision-Making Problems

ranking
eight
sustainable
energy
development
alternatives,
each
characterized
by
seventeen
criteria.
Four
representative
MCDM
methods,
Simple
Additive
Weighting
(SAW),
Technique
for
Order
Preference
Similarity
Ideal
Solution
(TOPSIS),
Proximity
Indexed
Value
(PIV),
Root
Assessment
Method
(RAM),
also
deployed.
The
results
revealed
that
Entropy
method
provided
most
stable
consistent
performance,
followed
MEREC
method,
with
SPC
showing
least
stability.
