Criteria weights play a crucial role in Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) problems when selecting the best alternative from set of options. This study aims to compare three objective weighting methods: MEthod based on Removal Effects (MEREC), Entropy, and Symmetry Point Criterion (SPC). These methods were applied case involving ranking eight sustainable energy development alternatives, each characterized by seventeen criteria. Four representative MCDM methods, Simple Additive Weighting (SAW), Technique for Order Preference Similarity Ideal Solution (TOPSIS), Proximity Indexed Value (PIV), Root Assessment Method (RAM), also deployed. The results revealed that Entropy method provided most stable consistent performance, followed MEREC method, with SPC showing least stability.

The insurance industry, which is an important component of the financial channel, essential part Turkish economy, and assessing performance critical for companies to improve efficiency productivity, increase competitiveness, enhance fiscal health. study presented a technique all registered in Borsa Istanbul by implementing integrated method that combines Criteria Importance Through Intercriteria Correlation (CRITIC) Proximity Indexed Value (PIV) methods. rationale PIV lack adequate studies available on employed this specific model. Initially, 18 evaluation criteria were defined. CRITIC was applied weights, ranked using PIV. Subsequently, COPRAS, VIKOR, ARAS, SAW Multi-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) methodologies applied. Performance rankings derived from compared with those obtained other MCDM models employed. Finally, Spearman’s Rank Kendall’s Coefficient methods analyze extent correlations interactions between ranking outcomes. assessment results pointed out AGESA received highest rank performance, AKGRT had lowest rank. consistently high examined. Nevertheless, RAYSG constantly poorly. All deployed final two positions. study’s findings underscore outcomes largely align alternate utilized.
