The rapid adoption of online learning is due to its several advantages over traditional classroom training. However, the remote nature can pose challenges for both students and instructors. Instructors were thrust into a big transition instruction with no preparation time or resources. Whether not quality education has improved as result shift from more face-to-face format modern e-learning approach subject some discussion. This study aims address relationship between teaching, cognitive presence social in learning. A quantitative done explore among learners who attend classes. purposive sample 100 participants responded survey. instrument used survey replicated (Arbaugh et al., 2008). Perceptions of students on artificial intelligence-generated content avatar utilization in learning management system DOI Creative Commons

Purpose This study aims to explore students’ perceptions of the use an artificial intelligence-generated content avatar (AIGC avatar) within a learning management system (LMS). Design/methodology/approach qualitative research involved seven postgraduate students. Data were collected through individual, in-depth interviews. The videos AIGC avatar, created using Leonardo, ChatGPT and Heygen, uploaded LMS communicate with students for purposes welcome note, assignment guide, feedback, tutorial reminders preparation as well provide encouragement tips. Students interviewed at end semester. Findings findings this indicated that majority participating held positive regarding in LMS. They reported it enhanced their perceived instructor’s social presence motivation learn. guide feedback particularly valued by participants. While some noted avatar’s lack naturalness, others appreciated clear professional speech delivered. Research limitations/implications was confined from single course one institution, which may limit generalizability findings. Future could involve larger more diverse group Practical implications offer education providers alternative solution engaging Originality/value highlights potential avatars replace text-based communication enhance instructor presence.
