Abstract Continued innovation in contract design may enhance the delivery of agri-environmental climate public goods (AECPG), but barriers to adoption arise terms how farmers perceive economic benefits. Therefore, this paper examines survey data from Ireland and Netherlands analyse whether land managers agree that results-based, collective action, value chain tenure contracts for AECPG are understandable, applicable their farm economically beneficial. Using Probit models, we also identify groups who different types as being beneficial, these findings can inform policymakers farmer need adequate consideration during contracts. For example, greater incentives could encourage older enrol results-based Netherlands. We find a link between duration perceived benefits action both countries, with desiring longer duration. highlight apply lessons Netherlands, where they more common varied. Greater knowledge exchange users non-users such would help bridge gap theory practice countries.
