The significance of mathematics education has gained increasing recognition worldwide due to its essential role in various fields, particularly science, technology, engineering, and (STEM). Algebra, a fundamental branch mathematics, is crucial for developing students' problem-solving analytical skills. However, many students struggle with algebraic concepts, affecting their overall mathematical proficiency. field long examined difficulties, seeking understand causes improve learning outcomes. This study aims provide insights into the perceived confidence mastery Grade 11 STEM solving algebra-related problems. It also explores variations based on different profile variables examines relationship. A mixed-methods approach was used collect data through survey questionnaire administered two sections at Saint Mary's University Senior High School. Findings indicate that generally exhibit moderate problems but may require additional support, advanced topics like logarithmic properties. Perceived Level Confidence did not significantly differ sex, junior high school curriculum, or styles varied according academic standing. levels showed notable differences, male those from science-oriented schools performing better. small positive correlation between suggests factors such as style background influence algebra success. recommends tailored tutoring, regular feedback, teaching strategies aligned strengthen both mastery.
