A
second-order
system
is
widely
recognized
in
control
systems,
as
many
practical
systems
are
modeled
using
it.
The
system's
response
to
a
step
input
well-defined,
with
mathematical
expressions
available
for
key
parameters
like
rise
time,
settling
and
others.
However,
most
of
these
equations
apply
specifically
an
underdamped
system,
where
explicit
solution
relatively
straightforward,
except
the
delay
time
equation,
which
derived
from
linear
equation
involving
damping
factor,
ϛ.
This
paper
develops
both
time-based
on
equations,
allowing
extraction
model
output
low
high
factor
values.
Additionally,
proposed
can
be
applied
higher-order
by
equivalent
results
showing
that
this
accurately
represents
higherorder
system.
Further
analysis
investigates
effect
natural
frequency
ratio
