Metabolic disorders and chronic liver disease (CLD) play crucial roles in the development progression of cancer (LC). Since ethnic minority population increasingly suffers from CLD LC, it is vital to understand biosocial factors contributing LC. The 'All Us' database, with significant participation populations, provides a valuable tool for studies different racial/ethnic groups. Using databases, including 'The Cancer Genome Atlas', this study aimed data, confounding like lack immunization, comorbidities, socioeconomic status (SES) barriers were analyzed cohort 33767 [non-alcoholic fatty disease, alcoholic Hepatitis B C] patients. Among 556 LC patients 92% had CLD. hypoxanthine known be increased urine patients, purine metabolic pathway genes using databases validated publicly available RNASeq data. We identified several associated Hispanic (HA) African American (AA) populations compared non-Hispanic White (NHW) populations. HA AA suffer high SES barriers. While most related upregulated xanthine dehydrogenase (XDH), which converts uric acid, showed downregulation tumor normal tissues. TCGA data among groups that only Asian (AN) tumors XDH expression was significantly lower NHW. decreased mRNA AN benign tissues further RNAseq datasets. Survival analysis confirmed poor overall survival their tumors. Our population. This also as critical alteration has clinical significance

In recent years, rising living standards and an accelerated lifestyle have led to increase in the incidence of chronic liver disease. Modern medicine has yet fully develop effective methods for preventing treating these conditions due their complex pathogenesis. Autophagy, a cellular process that maintains homeostasis by removing abnormal proteins, emerged as promising therapeutic target diseases. These diseases include fibrosis, cirrhosis, non-alcoholic steatohepatitis, hepatitis B, hepatocellular carcinoma. Chinese medicine, with its multi-component, multi-target, multi-pathway approach, offers unique advantages conditions, especially given unclear etiology Recent research demonstrates — comprising single herbs, herbal combinations, proprietary formulas can effectively regulate autophagy, thereby providing preventive benefits This paper reviews studies, categorizes various diseases, examines impact active ingredients compound from on autophagy. insights are crucial slowing progression pave way future application managing through autophagy modulation.

Abstract Background and Aims The objective of this study was to assess the impact COVID‐19 pandemic direct‐acting antiviral (DAA) agents on mortality related chronic liver diseases (CLD). Methods Age‐standardized rates were computed based CLD as underlying cause death (UCOD) any mention in certificates (multiple causes death‐MCOD). Time trends age‐standardized investigated using generalized estimation equation models. Additionally, we conducted age, period, birth cohort (APC) analyses CLD‐related associated with alcohol hepatitis C virus (HCV). Results Between 2008 2021, among residents Veneto region (Northeastern Italy) aged ≥35 years, there 20 409 deaths UCOD 30 069 MCOD from all CLD. We observed a 4% annual decline MCOD‐based throughout 2008–2021, minor peaks corresponding epidemic waves. Starting 2016, HCV‐related accelerated further ( p < .001). A peak 1963–1967 observed, which levelled off by end period. Mortality alcoholic disease declined at slower pace, becoming most common aetiology mentioned certificates. Conclusions demonstrates significant decrease population level Italy introduction DAAs. Continuous monitoring data is warranted determine if favourable trend will continue. Further studies utilizing additional health records are needed clarify role other etiologies.
