BACKGROUND Helicobacter pylori (H. ) eradication rates have declined with the rise of antibiotic-resistant strains in recent years. Although highly effective a low prevalence resistance, standard dose tetracycline is associated frequent adverse events. The efficacy and safety low-dose as part amoxicillin-containing bismuth quadruple therapy are not well described. AIM To compare compared to combined patients H. infection. METHODS Consecutive infection receiving tetracycline, amoxicillin, proton pump inhibitor, for 14 days at Sir Run Shaw Hospital (1/2022-6/2023) were evaluated. group received 500 mg twice daily (bid) while 750 bid or three times (tid). Primary endpoints rate treatment-related RESULTS mean age 218 was 48.7 ± 14.0 years, 120 (55%) male, 118 (54.1%) treatment primary therapy. Furthermore, 73 (33%) (500 bid) 145 (67%) including tid 74 71 (33%). On intention-to-treat analysis, 89% [95% confidence interval (CI): 82%-96%] group, 82% (95%CI: 74%-91%) 79% 69%-89%) without statistically significant difference (P = 0.25). incidence events lower (12.3% vs 31.1% 23.9%; P 0.02).
