Microneedles (MNs) have been used as active drug delivery carriers by precisely delivering drugs to the targeted site along with minimal tissue destruction. Earlier, MNs were for of transdermal site; now they are solid tumor site, mucosal, ophthalmic, and other organ site-specific delivery. considered a boon trans-barrier because routes, such systemic parenteral, face challenges limiting optimum amount reaching skin or barrier-containing organs. Hence, MN-mediated enhances permeation improves brain ciliary nasal clearance crossing barrier. The current book chapter mainly focuses on recent advancements in area MN-based into various parts body, their theragnostic applications, organs containing barriers, encounters has discussed. Also, comprehensive overview MN types, fabrication polymers, mechanisms release, effectiveness, advantages over conventional systems summarized.

Cataracts, a leading cause of blindness in the world, are commonly treated by replacing ocular lens with an artificial intraocular (IOL). The material and structure IOL major factors their efficacy, affecting, among other characteristics, optics eye. In recent research record, two optical properties have emerged as standardized characterization methods for optics: (1) transmittance (2) scattering. This mini review describes these collates data such way that comparisons may be drawn across four different types (PMMA, hydrophobic acrylic, hydrophilic silicone) three conditions ( in-vivo , cadaver explant, inventory control). Finally, emerging field additive manufacturing production is considered. Such technologies hold promise optimizing IOLs cataract patients. Researchers incorporate scattering standard 3D-printed developed broader researcher community.
