Abstract With a steadily rising number of novel biopharmaceuticals in development, the demand for applicable delivery systems macromolecular drugs persists. Polymeric nanoparticles, consisting natural product gelatin, present beneficial attributes this application. To stabilize those nanoparticles without interfering with encapsulated macromolecules, surface‐crosslinked gelatin particles are developed and thoroughly characterized their physicochemical mechanical properties. only limited data available latter, investigating elastic properties can offer more comprehensive understanding crosslinking processes involved particles’ potential applications. In study, protocols type A (GNP‐A) B (GNP‐B) described. Significant differences between two types reported regarding GNP‐A consists lower degree, leading to pronounced swelling aqueous environments softer nanoparticles. They possess contrary compared extensively crosslinked stiffer GNP‐B. However, doesn't affect encapsulation efficiency, allowing develop nanoparticulate suitable various applications by adjusting particle while maintaining same drug load. These findings provide deeper polymeric reveal importance during pharmaceutical development.
