Objective To investigate the current status and influencing factors of negative social expectations in thyroid cancer patients, aiming to inform interventions that mitigate these foster positive psychological outcomes. Methods From December 2022 August 2023, we used convenience sampling select 213 patients who met inclusion exclusion criteria as research subjects. A questionnaire survey was conducted using a general information questionnaire, Cancer patient Negative Social Expectation Scale, simplified version Resilience Loneliness Scale. Results The median expectation score among 10.00 (IQR: 6.00–17.50), with 31.0% participants classified having high expectations. Univariate analysis revealed significant differences scores across subgroups stratified by age, personality type, marital status, disease type (e.g., papillary vs. non-papillary carcinoma), Insurance Type ( p < 0.05). Correlation demonstrated were inversely associated resilience r =-0.426, 0.01) positively correlated loneliness = 0.651, 0.01). Multiple linear regression further identified (β −0.32, 0.003), 0.51, 0.001), (papillary carcinoma others; β 0.18, 0.012), 0.15, 0.023) predictors expectations, collectively explaining 50.70% total variance R 2 0.519). Conclusion are at moderate level. urban resident health insurance, subtypes, lower scores, higher exhibited significantly elevated scores. address this, targeted psychosocial should be implemented for this population. Investigating the diagnosis and treatment of bilateral Chylothorax after neck lymph node dissection for thyroid cancer. The clinical data a patient with chylothorax cancer were retrospectively analyzed, relevant literature was reviewed. underwent total thyroidectomy left dissection, no evidence fluid leakage observed during operation. experienced chest tightness, shortness breath, dyspnea, decreased lung auscultation breath sounds on 7th day surgery. X-ray examination revealed presence pleural effusion. Under ultrasound guidance, thoracic closed drainage tube implanted, small sample milky white tested chylothorax, yielded positive results. is diagnosed chylothorax. After received conservative treatment, patient's flow gradually decreased. Subsequent review showed signs hydrops, as result, removed. eventually recovered subsequently discharged. Bilateral rare complication following It deemed safe effective to administer active upon early detection.
