This viewpoint draws attention to growing evidence of forced out-migration from climate-vulnerable coastal regions in the resource-constrained global South. The process this by affected people is not linear, but rather a complex linkage various social, economic, environmental and political factors. Most previous research has primarily focused on large metropolitan areas (e.g. Bogotá, Cairo, Dhaka, Johannesburg, Karachi, Lagos, Mumbai Shanghai). However, majority climate migrants vulnerable will end up living nearby small mid-sized cities. There been limited address migration phenomenon, which always overshadowed in-migration rural–urban cities across world. unique challenges that face due regions. It also highlights what policies initiatives can improve sustainability outcomes destination cities, particularly terms improved inclusion, integration access.
