Stem cell therapy for the treatment of psychiatric disorders: a real hope for the next decades

In
this
review,
it
is
evaluated
the
progress
in
application
of
stem
cell
therapy
to
ameliorate
symptoms
bipolar
disorder,
major
depression,
schizophrenia,
and
autism.
These
disorders
are
highly
prevalent
clinical
medicine
responsible
for
high
levels
psychosocial
disability
among
patients.
All
them
share
common
biomedical
features,
such
as
complex
variable
genetic
substrates,
significant
susceptibility
environmental
changes,
insufficient
knowledge
their
pathogenesis.
