Sporadic Hidradenitis Suppurativa (spHS) is a multifactorial disease in which genetic predisposition intertwined with environmental factors. Due to the still date limited knowledge of spHS genetics, we calculated Polygenic scores (PGS) study underpinnings that contribute within European demographic. 256 patients and 1686 healthy controls were analyzed across 6 clinical centers. PGS using clumping thresholding technique on 70% total sample, remaining 30% used for testing. The PANTHER tool was identify overrepresented genes. We generated characterized by 923 SNPs statistically significant association (p-value=2x10-2). -age, gender ancestry adjusted- our developed allows us attribute contribution susceptibility (pseudo-R2=0.0053). Variants enriched developing show preference mapping genes encode primarily cell adhesion proteins. Although this polygenic model associated spHS, low number enrolled limitation. However, believe larger experimental datasets, has potential serve as valuable predicting states future studies.

The Natural Product Research Laboratory (NPRL) of China Medical University Hospital (CMUH) was established in collaboration with CMUH and Professor Kuo-Hsiung Lee from the North Carolina at Chapel Hill. laboratory collection features over 6,000 natural products worldwide, including pure compounds semi-synthetic derivatives. This is most comprehensive fully operational product database Taiwan. review article explores history development NPRL CMUH. We then provide an overview recent applications impact artificial intelligence (AI) new drug discovery. Finally, we examine advanced powerful AI-tools related software to explain how these resources can be utilized research on large-scale data libraries. presents a (R&D) platform that combines AI NPRL. believe this approach will reduce resource wastage enhance capabilities Taiwan's academic industrial sectors biotechnology pharmaceuticals.
