In a survey of tropical plant diseases in southern and southeastern Iran, samples diseased Mangifera indica Psidium guava leaves with necrotic symptoms were collected between 2021 2022. Six representative isolates Neopestalotiopsis Robillarda (three for each) studied using morphological characteristics as well multi-locus phylogenetic analysis based on (i) the internal transcribed spacer (ITS) region nuclear rDNA, (ii) part translation elongation factor 1-alpha ( tef1 ), (iii) β-tubulin tub2 ). After investigation, our revealed that under study differed from all previously described species within these genera. Based polyphasic approach, two new species, including sp. nov. khodaparastii are illustrated Iran.

Endophytic fungi are a well-known fascinating host-associated fungal group that can enhance plant growth and fitness by producing various bioactive secondary metabolites. They an excellent source of industrial enzymes for potential metabolite synthesis, which is useful in green agriculture, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals. Itea valuable genus since it naturally contains rare sugar; however, endophytic associated this host have not yet been documented. In the present study, 11 strains were isolated primarily identified as pestalotioid taxa based on morphological characteristics exhibited vitro. Eleven Pestalotiopsis-like from healthy leaves, stems, roots japonica I. riparia Chiang Mai Province, Thailand. Species delimitation was morphology, multiloci phylogeny concatenated ITS, tub2, tef1-α sequence data, nucleotide polymorphism analyses. Neopestalotiopsis iteae Pseudopestalotiopsis proposed new species riparia, respectively. chrysea, N. haikouensis, Pestalotiopsis jinchanghensis described records riparia. Owing to conspecific relationship identically pairwise comparison sufficient gene regions, several synonymized including cercidicola terricola umbrinospora zhaoqingensis P. jinchanghensis. The updated phylogenetic trees, comparisons, descriptions herein provided discussed taxonomic placements these records. This study first investigate endophytes Thailand, reveals intra- interspecific relationships species, need be further reevaluated because ambiguous taxa.

Pestalotiopsis fungi are widely distributed all over the world, mainly as plant pathogens, endophytes or saprobes from multiple hosts. In this study, sequence data analysis based on internal transcribed spacer (ITS), partial beta-tubulin ( tub2 ) and regions of translation elongation factor 1 alpha tef1α combined with morphological characteristics was used to identify strains isolated diseased leaves Aporosa dioica Rhaphiolepis indica , well some rotted Yunnan Hainan Provinces in China three new species, viz., aporosae-dioicae sp. nov.
