The assassin bug genus Argolis Stål, 1861 (Hemiptera: Reduviidae: Stenopodainae) has a disjunct distribution in Sub-Saharan Africa and Asia. In the present study, Asian species of are revised. Two recognized, redescribed, illustrated, with following new subjective synonyms combination proposed: = Bardesanes Distant, 1909, syn. nov. Neoklugia 1919, nov.; A. farinator (Reuter, 1882) N. typica B. sericenotatus Livingstone & Ravichandran, 1989, signata (Distant, 1909), comb. (transferred from Bardesanes) Caunus noctulus Hsiao, 1977, Lectotypes for C. farinator, signatus, designated. A key to separate two is provided. sexual dimorphism, systematic relationships, discussed. newly recorded Laos, Pakistan, Vietnam.

The Austro-Oriental shield-bug genus Axiagastus Dallas, 1851 (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Pentatomoidea: Pentatomidae: Pentatominae: Axiagastini) is revised and found to be a senior synonym of Indrapura China, 1928, syn. nov. following species (including five new) are treated: A. cambelli Distant, 1911 (= Pentatoma marmoratum Montrouzier, 1855, nov.), from Australia (Queensland), Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Fiji, Samoa Vanuatu; chandrashekarai Salini, Kment & Roca-Cusachs sp. nov., Indonesia (Sulawesi); dubius Jensen-Haarup, 1937 ?Singapore; klossi (China, Indrapura), comb.
