In this era of Artificial Intelligence (AI) growth, characterized by advances in the Large Language Models (LLMs) used ChatGPT and Bard, study examines effects gamification Automatic Question Generation (AQG) on student engagement learning outcomes context a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC). AQG, implemented via Moodle plugin, transforms conventional assessments into an interactive, gamified experience, leveraging “test effect” to improve outcomes. Research with 100 fifth-graders primary secondary school shows that significantly boost motivation compared traditional methods. The custom plugin facilitates AQG process, generating contextually relevant grammatically correct Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) from course content. result is dynamic, personalized assessment experience aimed at optimizing retention. This paper concludes discussing implications for educators highlighting potential directions future research.

Despite massive open online courses (MOOCs’) widespread acceptance, the substantial dropout rate among learners remains a significant challenge in remote education. Although gamification has been identified as potential strategy to address this issue, preliminary research on topic is limited scope and methodology. Therefore, study aims explore application of MOOCs its impact participant engagement course completion rates. Twenty-two articles were systematically nominated reviewed under preferred reporting items for systematic reviews meta-analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. They extracted from 225 indexed Scopus database various criteria, including peer-reviewed published within last five years ensure we use with latest technological developments. The analysis emphasizes that despite limitations, positively influenced learner rates through strategies such badges, leaderboards, challenges. findings offer valuable insights into enhance improve MOOCs, contributing more effective education strategies. concludes by identifying need future long-term effects across different types sustainability over time.

Araştırma, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden durum çalışması olup 2023-2024 eğitim öğretim yılı bir devlet üniversitesinin farklı bölümlerde okuyan 3. sınıf öğrencilerinin “Eğitimde Ölçme Değerlendirme” dersi kapsamında hazırladığı önermelerinden seçilenlerle yürütülmüştür. Araştırma belirlenen üç uygulamasından hazırlamada kuralları içeren kriterler oluşturması ele alınan hem kendi oluşturduğu de uzmanlar tarafından verilen kriterlerle incelemesi istenmiştir. Bu doğrultuda elde edilen veriler içerik analizi betimsel analiz yöntemleriyle incelenmiştir. Sonuç olarak; uygulaması da önermelerin anlaşılırlığı, net cevap olması, tek bilgi ölçülmesi gibi yapılara değinirken olumsuz ifade kullanımı, doğrudan kaynaktan alma özellikleri bazı uygulamaların göz ardı ettiği saptanmıştır. Uygulamaların bakımından kendilerine verildiğinde önermeler için daha uygun geri bildirimler verdiği, Türkçe-İngilizce incelemede dil farklılığının olduğu, İngilizce yazışmalar verdiği sonuçlarına ulaşılmıştır.
