Science literacy in Indonesia is still a big challenge, as evidenced by the low scores latest PISA results. Low science caused several factors including learning that not contextualised and less relevant to everyday life. In addition, student involvement also very influential on success of learning. Therefore, this study was conducted measure effectiveness Guided Inquiry method combined with Nearpod media improving students' literacy. The used pre-experimental approach ‘one group pre-test post-test’ design model. population class X students at SMA Negeri 1 Cimahi consisting 11 classes. sampling process carried out randomly (random sampling), namely X-11 which totalled 29 students. results showed effective literacy, especially aspects designing evaluating scientific investigations environmental change material. This pretest-posttest quasi-experimental design involved 71 twelfth-grade students in Jakarta, Indonesia. One class was randomly assigned a treatment group which taught mobile application and another comparison e-books. Attitude Toward Chemistry Lessons Scale (ATCLS) administered before after instruction both groups. To analyze data, we employed independent paired sample t-tests. results indicated that intervention, gap attitude scores between two groups statistically significant favor intervention group. Students also showed improvement average from pre- post-administration with large effect size. reflected use effectively increases positive lessons topic
