The interplay between competitive advantage and sustainability in the wine industry: a bibliometric and systematic review

Abstract
The
objective
of
this
research
is
to
analyze
the
knowledge
structure
academic
literature
indexed
in
Core
Collection
Web
Science
(WoS)
on
gaining
a
competitive
advantage
through
sustainability
wine
industry,
from
first
article
registered
2009
2023,
order
identify
latest
trends
topics
under
study.
For
purpose,
bibliometric
and
systematic
analysis
was
carried
out.
First,
for
quantitative
scientific
production,
study
conducted,
using
WoS
database
data
collection
VosViewer
Bibliometrix
applications
create
network
maps.
Second,
once
bibliography
had
been
examined
quantitatively,
content
performed
following
PRISMA
methodology.
results
show,
among
other
aspects,
uneven
pace
growth
production
studied
since
2009,
that
innovation,
tourism,
carbon
footprint,
dynamic
capabilities
climate
change
are
current
major
study,
as
well
predominance
Italy,
Spain,
United
States
Australia
terms
subject
matter.
There
several
justifications
originality
given
that,
first,
it
contributes
understanding
identification
most
recent
field
and,
second,
best
authors'
knowledge,
there
no
previous
studies
have
addressed
topic
analyzed.

The
purpose
of
this
chapter
is
to
focus
on
analyzing
how
the
set
green
intangibles
held
by
wineries
(GIC)
affects
innovation
performance
(GIP).
Specifically,
study
aims
investigate
GIP
influenced
GIC
through
mediating
role
knowledge
management
(KM)
variable
and
corporate
social
responsibility
(CSR).
proposes
a
conceptual
model,
based
previous
studies,
which
tested
using
structural
equations
(PLS-SEM)
with
data
collected
from
202
Spanish
wineries.

results
indicate
that
there
positive
significant
relationship
between
GIP.
In
addition,
CSR
KM
partially
mediate
these
two
variables,

A
comprehensive
understanding
of
the
significance
vine
cultivation
and
wine
production,
distribution,
consumption
in
Spain
requires
a
joint
consideration

achieve
this
vision,
quantitative
research

an
exploratory
scope
is
carried
out
through
use
secondary
data
sources.

results
reveal
that,
from
economic
point
view,
industry
generates
total
annual
gross
value
added
(GVA)
more
than
23,700
million
euros,
equivalent
to
2.2%
national
GVA.
From
social
maintains
important
territorial
rootedness,
very
visible
designations
origin
(DOs),
being
environment
where
comes
appreciated
attribute
wine.
