Performance in mathematics has been steadily deteriorating over the last few years. This prompted researcher to investigate impact of SMASSE INSET on students’ attitudes and performance mathematics. The objectives study were whether changed attitudes, improved teaching approaches methodology was based theory Reasoned action Planned behaviour as proposed by Ajzen Fishbein (1975 1980). a field that conducted Bomet district. A descriptive survey design adopted for study. respondents selected from Form four students year 2008. sample 371 students, 20 Heads Department Mathematics teachers using both stratified simple random sampling. Data collected through use questionnaires, HOD Questionnaire Teacher’s Questionnaire. Analysis data done inferential statistics.
