This study investigated the effects of prenatal education characteristics, pandemic-related pregnancy stress, and health behaviors during on depression in pregnant women coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. The participants were 180 Korean women, recruited from internet communities for preparation, childbirth, childcare, July 5 to 15, 2022. collected data analyzed using t-test, analysis variance, Mann-Whitney U-test, Kruskal-Wallis test, multiple regression analysis. scores stress (24.50±6.37) (67.07±9.20) high. Nearly half (n=89, 49.4%) presented with depression, 10 or greater. Prenatal had a positive correlation gestational age (r=.18, p=.019) (r=.27, p<.001), negative (r=-.42, p<.001). factors associated (t=4.70, marital satisfaction (dissatisfied) (t=3.66, healthcare practice (t=-3.31, p=.001), family type (weekend couple) (t=2.84, p=.005), (t=2.32, p=.022). explanatory power these variables was 38.2%. Since high level pandemic, infectious diseases such as COVID-19 may recur, strategies should be developed improve women's mental consideration unique that are relevant It is also necessary develop efficient online programs can implemented even special circumstances social distancing, evaluate their effectiveness.

Stress is a process that triggers various physiological, hormonal and psychological mechanisms in response to threat, which significantly affects the health of an individual. The COVID-19 pandemic introduced lot social changes required constant adaptation unfavorable conditions. aim study was assess impact stress related this on pregnant women, mothers premature infants their families, obstetric complications, particularly preterm birth. A comprehensive literature review performed using electronic databases such as Pubmed, Science Direct Google Scholar. Keywords as: “prematurity”; “pregnancy”; “stress”; “COVID-19” combinations above were used. Maternal anxiety increase levels corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH) placenta, turn incidence birth many other maternal neonatal complications. In addition, it found SARS-CoV-2 infection may risk phenomenon. has adversely affected rates mental infants, exacerbating negative experience having baby.
