Acute pain, a critical aspect of patient care, presents challenge due to its subjective nature and complex biological underpinnings. Biomarkers for acute pain promise paradigm shift in how is perceived, diagnosed, managed. The study genetic, inflammatory, neurotransmission markers associated with experience may hold the key development personalized effective management strategies. This narrative review explores neurobiological pathways encompassing inflammatory responses mechanisms. It synthesizes current research on identification clinical application biomarkers, emphasizing their potential enhance diagnostic precision, treatment effectiveness, risk prediction. We underscore promising role biomarkers identifying patients at developing potentially chronic predicting patients' response pharmacological interventions, aiding novel therapeutic preventive evolving landscape biomarker not only deepens our understanding mechanisms but also lays foundation more tailored patient-specific healthcare interventions.
