Taraxaci herba, as a traditional Chinese medicine, is the name of Taraxacum genus in Asteraceae family. Documented Tang Herbal Medicine (Tang Dynasty, AD 657–659), its medicinal properties cover wide range applications such acute mastitis, lung abscess, conjunctival congestion, sore throat, damp-heat jaundice, and vision improvement. In Pharmacopoeia (Edition 2020), more than 40 kinds China-patented drugs containing herba were recorded. This review explores evolving scientific understanding covering facets ethnopharmacology, botany, phytochemistry, pharmacology, artificial cultivation, quality control. particular, chemical constituents pharmacological research are reviewed. has been certified medicine plant, flavonoids, phenolic acids, terpenoids have identified separated, which include Chicoric acid, taraxasterol, Taraxasteryl acetate, Chlorogenic isorhamnetin, luteolin; they responsible for anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antibacterial, anti-tumor, anti-cancer activities. These findings validate uses lay groundwork further exploration. The sources used this study Web Science, Pubmed, CNKI site, classic monographs, Pharmacopoeia, Dictionary, doctoral master’s theses.

: Primarily sourced from Asteraceae family herbs such as the Dandelion, Taraxasterol is a pentacyclic triterpenoid lauded for its extensive biological functionalities. Its therapeutic potency demonstrated in various disease models, encompassing enteritis, arthritis, acute hepatic injury, and pneumonia. Scientific literature underscores anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antineoplastic attributes. The primary aim of this study to thoroughly explore diseasemodulating mechanisms effects taraxasterol. We endeavor provide an exhaustive review experimental subjects, intervention components, distinct action modalities, contributing factors, protein pathway expressions associated with taraxasterol, systematically represented via diagrams tables. Such schematic representation encourages continued academic dialogue concerning taraxasterol's pharmacological characteristics. This envisioned practical guide selection subjects methodologies prospective research. It intended further illuminate pharmacodynamics, thereby offering theoretical empirical justification clinical application.

Abstract Background This study aims to conduct a scientometric analysis and thematically-based narrative review of century Taraxacum officinale research (TOR), uncovering patterns, trends, themes, advancements in the field provide insights for future investigations. The followed PRISMA guidelines utilized Scopus database with MeSH terms bibliographic data retrieval. Scientometric mapping employed VOSviewer R-package-based Bibliometrix, while extracted themes were reviewed narratively. A detailed TOR was achieved by including only original studies. Results findings include extensive duration since 1908 its significant growth, particularly last two decades. China emerges as most productive country, but United States leads recognizable collaborative TOR. thematic map displays dynamic diverse rich knowledge structure revealed through term co-occurrence. year 2016 represents turning point map, marked numerical growth bifurcation. several main topics within TOR, germination, antioxidant activity, bioherbicide, oxidative stress, kok-saghyz , heavy metals. These represent key areas investigation into aspects surrounding T. . Additionally, emerging encompass toxicity, metabolomics, dandelion extract, diabetes mellitus. Conclusions consolidated knowledge, highlighted gaps, provided directions investigations on
