Purpose This study examines the critical role of higher education in conflict zones, focusing on northern regions Syria affected by Operation Olive Branch and Euphrates Shield. It explores how educational leaders navigate security challenges, community relations curriculum development to sustain academic activities during ongoing conflicts. Design/methodology/approach Employing a qualitative research design, utilizes semi-structured interviews with administrators Northern Syria. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis, allowing for identification key themes related security, integration quality. Findings highlights administrators' professional capital – encompassing skills, knowledge relationships enables them manage complex situations. underscores maintaining normalcy, promoting peace providing psychosocial support Key findings include importance ensuring fostering engagement, quality innovating curricula address local needs. Implementation of the educational process during war is a challenge for modern institutions, but despite unfavourable situation, institutions are implementing important innovative solutions development education in general. Therefore, purpose this study to investigate innovations times through prism survey and evaluation results. The participants 265 students teachers from different parts Ukraine. search respondents was carried out both on targeted basis using snowball sampling method. results demonstrated diversity means developing conditions: use video conferencing platforms, mobile applications, communication learning management systems, virtual simulation technologies. most systems platforms conducting classes. high scores demonstrate importance innovation wartime. conclusions emphasise that these ensure continuity provide access knowledge any crisis situation.
