This research aims to investigate and quantify the possible presence of microplastics (MPs) in usual skin-cleansing products (i.e., liquid soap, micellar water, cleansing oil), most popular from market terms brand customer confidence. Therefore, optical microscopy micro-Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (micro-FTIR) were used determine MPs’ number, color, shape, size, chemical composition. For first time, results correlated with exposure paths inhalation, ingestion, or adsorption) assess human health risk analyzed micellar-based cleansers chronic total dose microplastics. Finally, a statistical analysis was added this study for source prediction MPs samples morphology, composition, other factors brand, packaging, etc.). The various exposures toxicities assessed potential risk, knowing that their toxic effect depends on polymeric structure strongly linked concentration products.

Abstract This study aims to determine the spatial distribution of heavy metal pollution in Ermenek Dam Lake, water quality assessment and sources. For this purpose, samples were taken 6 times a year from 12 points determined 2024. Physico-chemical parameters metals analyzed study. Using analysis results, indexes such as Water Quality Index Heavy Metal Pollution calculated. The results show that lake complies with TS 266 WHO standards. index indicate is at low risk level safe. sources examined using correlation analysis, Principal Component Analysis Hierarchical Cluster Analysis. Correlation analyses showed there significant relationships between pH, temperature, conductivity, dissolved oxygen TDS metals. PCA revealed Zn was positively correlated temperature while Mn Ni inversely correlated. alignment Pb, Cu Cd same direction these affected by common HCA Cr Fe have similar transport source properties, are different In general, it levels local concentrations present. effects anthropogenic activities on ecosystem. findings provide guiding basis for management hydrological systems.
