Adolescents are developing self-maturity, so they should have the correct views to become a person with positive self-concept. Therefore, this period requires role of parents. The parental roles include educating, teaching, disciplining, and protecting children reach adulthood according social norms. However, adolescents prefer spend time their peers, peers dominant in influential modeling aspects adolescents' sexual behavior partners. One behaviors compulsorily concerned is human immunodeficiency virus/acquired syndrome (HIV/AIDS) prevention behavior. This study aimed determine relationship between characteristics, communication quality, parenting, peer roles, HIV/AIDS at “Y” Senior High School North Jakarta. employed cross-sectional research design. Samples were taken using purposive sampling technique, 208 students obtained from 432 students. Gender, affected variable was quality (OR=0.509). After controlling for gender strong 0.51 times more likely participate HIV/AIDS-positive preventive activities than those poor quality. expected communicate parents, especially about issues, openly.

Background The incidence of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) remains high in Indonesia. Therefore, HIV-AIDS prevention and control programs have been established for adolescents aged 15–24 years based on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Internal risk factors related to risky sexual behavior external associated with exposure pornography through media are major hurdles that need be overcome efforts prevent among adolescents. Meanwhile, individual protective self-control adolescent resilience strongly impact enhancement behavior. This study aimed determine whether internal sociocultural exert influences Methods research employed a descriptive quantitative design cross-sectional approach. population consisted school students 15–19 Jakarta, sample 619 was taken proportional stratified random sampling. Inferential analysis conducted using partial least squares structural equation modeling. Results data revealed (β-value = 0.423; t 12.129), 0.292; 10.903), -0.088; 6.127) most significantly influenced behavior, significant negative impacts. sub-variable determined presence (Y2) (λ 0.983), one did so weakly cognition 0.875).
