ABSTRACT Integrating ecological consciousness into environmental art design curricula addresses the need to combine artistic practice with sustainability, aiming cultivate artists who are both creatively and environmentally aware. This study explores how principles can enhance students' engagement sustainability issues through their art. Employing a mixed‐methods approach, research targets students instructors in programs, collecting quantitative qualitative data from January March 2024. A questionnaire distributed 600 resulted 562 valid responses, while 63 educators participated interviews. Data were analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) Non‐Versioned Information, Versatile Outcomes (NVivo). Results showed significant improvements awareness, sustainability‐focused art, motivation, attitudes toward sustainable practices, critical thinking. Additionally, analysis identified challenges faced by educators, such as time constraints resource limitations, alongside factors like real‐world relevance community involvement that student engagement.
