Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) are crucial for economic development play a significant role in achieving sustainable goals. Despite this, there is shortage of skilled STEM professionals declining interest education careers. The Saudi Vision 2030 goal diversification aims to transform Arabia into knowledge-based economy driven by innovation sustainability. This study investigates factors influencing adolescents’ attitudes toward careers Arabia, with comparative insights from Bahrain Singapore. Structural equation models (SEM) were constructed each country analyze the influence scientific self-concept, school belonging, teacher effectiveness on students’ choices science Mediation analysis examined value as mediators these relationships. Confirmatory factor was conducted validate model constructs before building SEM models. Data TIMSS 2019 eighth-grade students used develop based relevant items student questionnaire. Findings reveal that significantly career decisions, self-concept engagement playing roles. Teacher had strongest impact Bahrain, while most influential These results highlight importance fostering encourage paths science. To support should enhance training programs integrating mentorship, active learning strategies, technology instruction improve engagement. Adopting Singapore’s blended can foster self-confidence independence education, hands-on exposure strengthen long-term commitment fields. Additionally, expanding extracurricular initiatives industry partnerships will help connect classroom real-world applications. By aligning reforms insights, cultivate workforce supports its transformation under 2030.
