The first fossil record of a spittlebug affiliated to Aphrophora Germar, 1821 (Hemiptera: Cercopoidea: Aphrophoridae) is reported from Bulgaria (Western Rhodopes, Satovcha Graben). Middle Miocene deposits represents the recorded evidence Auchenorrhyncha in Bulgaria. A forewing illustration new finding and review known fossils are provided.
