Skin tissue engineering and wound healing are two applications where conductive biomaterials based on metal compounds, polymers, or piezoelectric polymers have great potential. This is because of their excellent antibacterial antioxidant activities, similar conductivity to human skin, photothermal effect, electrically controlled drug delivery. Wound can be accelerated by using materials stimulate the activity responsive cells. Electroactive dressings made combining non-conductive with this article focuses current developments in area. It detailed how these electroactive (conductive metal-based, piezoelectric-based dressings) accelerate process, properties examined.
