MXenes are known as a new type of two-dimensional layered materials that composed carbide, nitride, or carbonitride transition metals. In the recent discovery class MXenes, two metals occupy metal site, called double (DTM). These multilayer composites interest due to their attractive features such high ion transport, extensive surface area, and biocompatibility. Some computational methods used predict properties performance bimetallic carbonitrides. The most important feature this category is stability amount formation energy, which directly affects choice material in various applications. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations very beneficial estimate thermodynamic DTM MXenes. Of course, proper modification with stable terminals needed overcome limitations review, electrochemical, metallic, magnetic MXene have been presented first. following, preparation summarized according latest published findings. Then, applications including hydrogen evolution reactions, anode lithium sodium batteries, nanomagnetic materials, special investigated. Finally, more challenges, prospects, suggestions for development presented.
