AI has become a daily personal tutoring system to address the needs of English majors, particularly those seeking revolution in listening methods. Automatic AI-Generated Audio transcriptions (AIGATs) can improve learners' comprehension (Cao, Yamashita, & Ishida, 2018); however, there are concerns that if lack thoroughness, it may negatively affect cognition. Within confines this study, we investigate how AIGATs engender profound impact on 86 majors’ cognitive load (CogL) and their perspectives towards applications AIGATs. The participants were divided into two groups: one was exposed practice sessions with AIGATs, rest own (PTs). Data is collected through CogL scales PTs groups, respectively. A semi-structured interview conducted examine group’s perspectives. findings revealed statistically significant differences groups’ test scores. Using helps students lower scores enhance abilities handling task complexity. This research provides valuable insights for integrating language education, helping educators create more efficient instruction methods learners digital age.
