This study explores the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) in specialized translation processes, using ChatGPT as primary tool. The research, with an empirical-exploratory and mixed-method approach, focuses on two objectives: first, to analyze skills strategies used by students employing translate texts legal, medical, scientific fields; second, describe post-editing process, evaluating techniques improve accuracy cultural adaptation final text. central research question guiding is how influences development what apply enhance their translations. methodology involves practices a group 15 advanced from Bachelor’s Degree Translation at UABC, who translated post-edited three ChatGPT. These exercises, conducted three-hour sessions, also included creation specific terminological glossaries. A rubric was measure quality, Translog-II software recorded time spent each activity, assessing efficiency process. Preliminary results indicate improved process product quality through AI tools post-editing. In survey, reported positive perception ChatGPT, highlighting its utility developing competencies.

This study explored to what extent students at a Korean university perceive ChatGPT as useful in mandatory EFL writing classes. In addition, preferences regarding methods of instruction and the outlook for future classes similar nature era were also examined. 239 enrolled located on outskirts Seoul responded survey questionnaire consisting combination multiple choice, 10-point Likert scale, open-ended questions, which was used primary data collection method. Data analysis conducted using general qualitative open ended questions descriptive statistics choice scale questions. if consent given, participants contacted by e-mail discuss responses further detail. Despite concerns relating ownership learning overreliance, findings indicate generally positive perceptions terms assisting with grammar, vocabulary, brainstorming, proofreading. Conventional approaches (e.g., human teacher, person lessons, inter student / teacher communication) are still highly desired although increasing influence cannot be ignored. There is belief that currently play vital role universities, there strong preference them continue. Administrational educational implications discussed.
