Background: This study aimed to report the efficacy and safety of peribleb autologous blood injections in patients with hypotony maculopathy following trabeculectomy. Methods: In this retrospective chart-review study, from over-filtering bleb mitomycin C (MMC)-augmented trabeculectomy treated ≥1 injections, ≥12 months follow-up, macula optical coherence tomography (OCT) imaging were included. Patients previous laser cyclophotocoagulation excluded. Hypotony was defined as choroidal folds macular region, assessed by OCT. Results: Nine met inclusion criteria (mean age 62.3 ± 17.0). The mean intraocular pressure (IOP) at diagnosis 3.8 1.5 mmHg. Most (n = 7) received a single injection (4 n 1, 5 1). Significant improvements overall IOP after observed (8.3 2.4 mmHg; p 0.008). Improvements visual acuity resolution requiring only. No intra-operative adverse events recorded. Successful surgical revision performed for two refractory injections. Conclusions: Peribleb increased IOP, improved acuity, resolved 5.3 weeks 7/9 patients. procedure is not contra-indication further revision.
