Abstract Research on African organizations has focused the influence of environmental factors in organizational effectiveness. However, increasing concerns about challenges Africa and how they negatively affect outcomes have necessitated leveraging “positive turn” scholarship to advance a perspective industrial policies can permit Africa-originated multinational enterprises (A-MNEs) flourish. We propose multilevel model which policy environment comprised agency development positively impacts A-MNE flourishing, composite index human, environmental, economic flourishing. This relationship is mediated by – labor, trade, infrastructure, resources moderated fit, relevance, timeliness. Overall, we shift old paradigm represented effectiveness new seems more appropriate for Africa, bedeviled unusual that limit discuss empirical testing implications managers.
