Abstract Social media use has grown prevalent across the world, affecting lives of people all ages, including university students. People may now create, share, and interact with others long distances because to increased acceptance social platforms. The goal this study was investigate consequences on students' learning, sleeping habits, interactions. A cross-sectional approach used using a sample 200 students from First Technical University in Ibadan, Nigeria. questionnaire utilized collect data, statistical analysis performed Chi-squared (Fisher's exact test) method. According 98% participants networking sites. Furthermore, 66% said that addiction had detrimental influence their academic performance since they were more drawn engagement. Tiktok most widely platform (41%), followed by Snapchat (24%), WhatsApp (19%), Instagram (10%), Telegram (2%), Twitter (2%). In addition, survey examined patterns, 50% reporting bedtime between 10 p.m. 11 p.m., 44% 1 a.m. 2 Notably, 71% blamed later media. Finally, half respondents admitted an impact conclusion, highlights extensive application among its potential various aspects lives. findings highlight need for interventions address addictive nature media, encourage good buffer any harmful effects interactions demographic.

Social Loafing pertains to the tendency of a person exert less effort whenever working in groups compared alone. A behaviour dubbed as ‘social cancer’ and can even negatively affect individuals, organizations, society. There is an apparent lack studies when it comes social loafing academe. As such, this study was initiated with following objectives: (1) determine level student researchers (2) uncover lived experiences student-researchers who encounter within their groups. The employed mixed method, particularly sequential explanatory design composed two phases. Phase one involved quantitative approach wherein survey used collect data from 385 student-researchers. showed overall low among 2 qualitative which selected 14 participants. According participants, sense regret group selection experienced because negative loafers group. Their experience may come across emotional distress unfair allocation tasks. The pervasive impact of social media on educational outcomes has prompted extensive research, particularly regarding its effects motivation and engagement. In Malaysia, where the prevalence is significantly high, this warrants detailed scrutiny. This study investigated 317 Arabic learners from universities across Malaysia to determine mediating role self-regulated learning strategies (SRLS) learners’ motivations (LM) usage (SMU). Three instruments were used in study: SRLS evaluated by Self-Regulated Online Learning Questionnaire (SOL-Q), LM was assessed using Motivated Strategies for (MSLQ), SMU measured Data Language Technologies Lifelong Learning, 2008. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analyze data study. findings suggest that mediates relationship between LM. results show potential integrating into practices enhance SMU. implications learners, educators, policymakers are discussed, emphasizing need foster self-regulation as a component digital literacy education.

This research study aimed to explore the lived experiences of volunteer teachers in Alternative Learning System (ALS) new normal modality teaching. A qualitative design was employed, specifically utilizing phenomenological approach.
