Retinal pathologic angiogenesis is the leading cause of blindness in human generate from age-relatedmacular degeneration (AMD), diabetic retinopathy and premature (ROP).The aim this studyis to investigate effect vitex agnus castus leave extract on induced retinal rabbitsby intravitreal injection VEGF. Alcoholic prepared formulated forintravitreal injection. Twenty four pigmented rabbits included study allocated into equalgroups(6 each group): group, group treated by bevacizumab, grouptreated 100mcg Vitex extract, 50mcg castusleave as Parameters include matrixmetalloproteinase-9, intracellular adhesionmolecule-1. The result current revealed that leaveextract was reduced level MMP-9 ICAM-1 comparison with inducedgroup after one week induction , although it non-significant (P>0.05).
