The Auditor General of South Africa (AGSA), a statutory body that evaluates public sector information systems, is the main corporate governance instrument in study. different methods are explained this article. article examines barriers to improving systems. Our analysis will focus on efficiency systems sector, closely linked Africa’s National Development Plan 2030 and Medium Term Strategic Framework, critical measures achieve success. study uses Atlas.ti 7 for qualitative textual analysis. This software analyses data from 2017–2021 AGSA reports. thematic highlights micro macro challenges faced by institutions. problems stem deficiencies system, changes leadership, lack transparency access information. We also face smaller issues such as executive accountability their decisions, inadequate technology skills, ineffective project management, no disaster recovery procedures, declining IT delays filling key positions. suggests promoting transformative mindset raise awareness role management. It need identify African practices hinder paper aims improve framework order maximise sector.
