Potassium ferrate was used in the decontamination of leachate from landfill Janczyce, which is part Municipal Waste Treatment Plant Janczyce and has been operating since 2003.The aim research to assess effectiveness pre-treatment with use potassium ferrate(VI) (K 2 FeO 4 ).The ) acts as an oxidant coagulant.The effects K dose, duration oxidation process pH were modelled.Analysis test results indicates a high elimination efficiency for colour UVA 254 .The pollutants measured by chemical oxygen demand (COD) index slightly worse.Based on obtained, mathematical model developed best COD (45%) obtained dose equal 2.0 g•L -1 , = 4.5 after 90 min oxidation.The achieved terms elimination, where managed reduce 97% UV absorbance approx.60% at and, 5.01 60 min.
