Introduction: quality of life in older adults is a recurring topic due to the increase this population segment recent decades.Objective: determine level at MIES, belonging Provincial Directorate Santo Domingo.Methods: research with quantitative approach, non-experimental, descriptive and cross-sectional design. Universe: 176 adults, which sample 62 people was considered from non-probabilistic convenience sampling. The instrument used "Whoqol - Bref" questionnaire consisting 31 questions divided into sociodemographic data, perception, satisfaction dimensions on life. values obtained were transcribed an Excel document; results analysis presented contingency tables facilitate their interpretation.Results: 53 % male 46, 8 female; another important fact that 87, 1 reported they currently have some disease. Regarding level, 58 MIES very good 43 level. However, factors risk percentages following: regarding psychological dimension, 32, 3 responded almost always negative feelings, makes integration others difficult, since 11, being dissatisfied personal relationships 16,1 not very.Conclusions: Gerontological Center Domingo generally good, but identified psychological, physical social require specific attention
