<div class="WordSection1"><div class="WordSection1"><p><em>Plastic, a versatile material derived from synthetic compounds, is widely employed globally due to its durability, cost-effectiveness, and ease of production. However, improper disposal poses significant environmental threats. Despite concerted efforts, the indiscriminate dumping plastic waste persists in country's land water environments. This study aims comprehensively explore legal guidelines socio-economic initiatives relevant regulation, drawing inspiration Singapore's successful model. Three hundred ten questionnaires were also distributed among residents Nigeria achieve this objective. The data collected underwent thorough analysis, employing both descriptive analytical methods. In context, Singapore stands out as an exemplary model for emulate addressing challenges posed by waste. Drawing strategies, It imperative meticulously regulate every stage, production disposal, ensure sustainability minimize detrimental impact pollution. found need more legislative measures combat pervasive problem effectively.
