Abstract Background: Chile did not adopt general and unified lockdowns for the whole nation but organized itself with dynamic sometimes irregular lockdowns. These dynamics consequences of social isolation could be generalized to other contexts such as those affecting minorities immigrants, prisoners, refugees. Methods: In this study, we investigated physical mental health symptoms associated lifestyle changes due lockdown among university students in Chile. We examined psychopathological variations relation problems a healthy young population. Our goal was develop interventions address these new psychosocial potentially comparable post-pandemic contexts. From May 10th 2021 June 2th 2021, 420 University took part an anonymous survey asking information on habits that emerged during response COVID-19 pandemic. Three outcomes were assessed: digestive disorders; headache; fear COVID-19. Covariates including conditions pandemic, SARS-CoV-2 infections family, financial situation productivity considered analysis. Results: Participants experienced headache quite frequently period. More than half sample also isolation. Female gender, sleep quality, memory difficulties, change eating resulted increased risk headaches disorders. Conclusions: The results study fit within original pandemic context: can help identify needs promote solutions applicable different Future should focus promotion implementation focused hygiene, psychoeducation use mobile devices gender medicine support healthcare organizations University.

Abstract Understanding health-related quality of life (HRQOL) in children and adolescents, during a pandemic afterwards, aids understanding how circumstances their lives impact well-being. We aimed to identify determinants HRQOL from broad range biological, psychological, social factors large longitudinal population-based sample. Data was taken sample ( n = 1843) adolescents enrolled the prospective school-based cohort study Ciao Corona Switzerland. The primary outcome HRQOL, assessed using KINDL total score its subscales (each 0, worst, 100, best). Potential determinants, including biological (physical activity, screen time, sleep, etc.), psychological (sadness, anxiousness, stress), (nationality, parents’ education, etc.) factors, were 2020 2021 2022. Determinants identified data-driven manner recursive partitioning define homogeneous subgroups, stratified by school level. Median empirically subgroups ranged 68 83 69 82 secondary school. sadness, stress as most important both children. Other such physical chronic health conditions, or nationality, only individual subscales. Conclusion : Recent mental health, more than physical, played key role determining times. Public strategies improve may therefore be effective improving this age group. What is Known: • Assessing complex construct, involving factors. Factors driving are not often studied samples. New: Mental (stress, sadness) coronavirus pandemic,

Objectives: We investigated changes in adherence to physical activity (PA) and screen time (ST) recommendations of children adolescents throughout the pandemic, their association with health-related quality life (HRQOL). Methods: 1,769 primary (PS, grades 1-6) secondary (SS, 7-9) school from Ciao Corona, a school-based cohort study Zurich, Switzerland, five questionnaires 2020-2022. HRQOL was assessed using KINDL questionnaire. PA (≥60 min/day moderate-to-vigorous PA) ST (≤2 h/day ST) followed WHO guidelines. Results: Adherence dropped 2020 (83%-59% PS, 77%-52% SS), but returned pre-pandemic levels by 2022 (79%, 66%). Fewer met (74% 29% SS) 2021 (82%, 37%) than (95%, 68%). decreased 3 points between 2022, 9.7 higher (95% CI 3.0-16.3) March who both versus no recommendations. Conclusion: guidelines on during pandemic had consistent despite longitudinal behavior.

Abstract Representative school data on SARS-CoV-2 past-infection are scarce, and differences between pupils staff remain ambiguous. We performed a nation-wide prospective seroprevalence study among over time in relation to determinants of infection using Poisson regression generalised estimating equations. A cluster random sample was selected with allocation by region sociodemographic (SES) background. Surveys saliva samples were collected December 2020, March, June 2021, also October 2021 for primary pupils. recruited 885 569 secondary 799 84 schools. Cumulative (95% CI) increased from 11.0% (7.6; 15.9) at baseline 60.4% (53.4; 68.3) 2021. Group estimates similar baseline; however, they significantly higher (38.9% (32.5; 46.4)) compared (24.2% (20.3; 28.8)). Infections asymptomatic 48–56% 28% staff. Seropositivity associated individual SES pupils, level, language network June. Associations behavioural characteristics inconsistent. Seroconversion rates two- four-fold after self-reported high-risk contacts, especially adults. Seroprevalence studies non-invasive sampling can inform public health management.
