Introduction: Psoriasis is a chronic immune-mediated skin condition. One of the intriguing challenges in studying psoriasis has been identification correlations between this disease and gender body weight. Objective: A multicenter retrospective study was conducted among patients with moderate-to-severe who attended outpatient clinics 6 University Hospitals Italy. The effects apremilast on weight mass index (BMI) according to after 24 weeks 48 therapy were considered. Methods: We enrolled retrospectively 120 adult underwent treatment for at least weeks. Baseline characteristics, including age, gender, area severity (PASI), comorbidities, smoking alcohol habits, relevant medical history previous systemic biologic treatments recorded. Weight evaluated baseline (T0) (w24) (w48). descriptive statistical analysis performed. Results: showed significant reduction females w24 w48 (p < 0.001), mean difference −2.6 kg -5.7 w48. observed 3.6% w24, 7.9% Similar assessments also BMI, which reduced women by 8% In men, no changes BMI and/or Conclusion: Understanding interplay psoriasis, essential effective management improving patient outcomes.
