This study examines the cooling load requirements of a hotel building by comparing two methodologies: traditional Cooling Load Temperature Difference (CLTD) method and Carrier Hourly Analysis Program (HAP) 5.01 software. The primary objective is to validate accuracy reliability these methods in calculating loads across different room types, from standard rooms larger, more complex suites. results show that CLTD consistently yields higher estimates, with discrepancies ranging 3% 14% compared HAP calculations. These differences are most significant larger rooms, such as suites owner’s suites, which have extensive glass areas, occupancy, heat-generating equipment. findings indicate while valuable for quick, preliminary software provides precise comprehensive analysis, taking into account hourly variations, equipment schedules, other factors impact loads. research highlights need careful selection appropriate calculation ensure efficient design HVAC systems, maximizing energy efficiency, maintaining occupant comfort. concludes projects requiring high accuracy, particularly or large spaces, dynamic simulation tools like preferable. Detailed comparisons provided supplementary documentation, offering further insights analysis its implications design.

Objective: This research analyzes the fulfillment of 27 sustainable tourism development criteria in Samosir Regency, focusing on three main aspects: socio-economy, tourism, and environment, alignment with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Theoretical Framework: is a holistic approach that seeks to balance economic growth, environmental conservation, social equity, ensuring activities support SDGs do not compromise future generations' ability meet their own needs. In Samosir, closely tied preserving cultural heritage integrity, directly contributing SDG targets: Cities Communities. Method: The employed mixed-method approach, involving 12 purposively selected informants for interviews 100 randomly tourists as questionnaire respondents. sample size was determined using Slovin formula. Data collection included observation documentation, while data analysis combined thematic qualitative quantitative descriptive correlation statistics. validity ensured through triangulation techniques sources. Results Discussion: Socio-economically, has met most indicators, fulfilling 5 out 9. However, only 3 8 indicators were met. Environmental aspects posed greatest challenge, 2 10 fulfilled. These results indicate significant gaps achieving related tourism. Research Implications: must enhance management, strengthen infrastructure, engage community more actively targets. Originality/Value: his offers comprehensive emphasizing importance balancing economic, social, considerations achieve long-term benefits line
